DJ Carol

Carol had the honor to open for the artist Prince at the now legendary exclusive New Year’s Eve party at Amanyara Resort in Turks and Caicos.  All of our hearts go to the memory of this gracious, brilliant man.

Other times at Amanyara Resort, she was the DJ for the Crown Prince of Iran Reza Pahlavi and The World Music Awards founder and Executive Producer John Martinelli of Monaco.
She provided the sound and music for The Dance Theatre of Harlem's private Gala for President Bill Clinton who gave a special address. Carol DJ’d the wedding of Martha Stewart’s producer which was featured on Ms. Stewart’s television show and Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. She did the wedding of Brian Drew, Emmy Award winning NBC news producer for The Rachel Maddow Show and All In With Chris Hayes.  Carol played for the wedding of the daughter of Vincent Pastore “Big Pussy” of The Sopranos which was attended by the entire Sopranos cast. She has played events for the original Studio 54 co-founder and owner Ian Schrager (now hotelier) as well as events for fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, Sotheby's, Cartier, and Clarins France. She provided the music for the wedding of Toby Parker, original Broadway star of Rent and Wicked, brother of Sarah Jessica Parker, who attended with her husband Matthew Broderick. She did the wedding of the son of Andy Breckman, creator, producer, and head writer of the famed USA Network series, Monk. She DJ'd for Clive Davis’ Arista post Grammy party.  It was attended by Whitney Houston, Sir George Martin, Aretha Franklin among many luminaries. For nearly 20 years she has been on New York Magazine aka The Cut’s preferred DJ list. Carol played an event with Mario Lopez which was featured on NBC’s “EXTRA”.  She was the DJ for ABC TV’s New Year’s Eve private party held in the Good Morning America set. She was the house music for several years in Miami Beach at the private club at Turnberry Isle and the legendary Miami club The Forge. She has been for many seasons the executive producer of the “Starlight Music Concert Series” at Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center.

Originally from Miami, Carol graduated from The University of Miami with a B.A. in theatre. She began her musical career as a singer and bandleader in Miami Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. She toured singing with Lifetime Grammy Award winning artists Ruben Rada and Hugo Fattoruso performing Jazz, Latin, and Brasilian music opening for Grammy Award winning singer Milton Nascimento. She was creatively involved in the production of Jon Anderson's (lead singer of Yes) album “Deseo”. Jon presented Carol with a personal painting he made for her which she treasures. For two years she lived and sang in Argentina, traveling between Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and Montevideo. She relocated to New York in 1990 and opened A Starry Night Music.

DJ MARLA

Marla, song savant and great musician, has toured and performed internationally in Rome, Thailand, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Palm Springs, and Las Vegas. In New York City she has performed in such prestigious venues as The Plaza Hotel, The Rainbow Room, The Peninsula Hotel, Top of the Sixes, the New York Athletic Club, among many others. She sang a commercial for McDonald’s which received non stop airplay for the Olympics.

Marla has performed at private parties for Alicia Keys and with her band performed for the rehearsal dinner of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones in The Russian Tea Room. She also played for Regis Philbin and she appeared at The Apollo Theatre. A prolific song writer, Marla co-wrote and co-produced the single on Spotify “I Can’t be Your Friend” sung by Amanda Brown, finalist on NBC ‘s “THE VOICE”. She co-wrote “Keep on Loving Me” sung by Monet on Ligosa Records. She wrote “Somebody Else” and co-wrote with legendary drummer Lenny White “Into The Light” for RCA RECORDS. Marla sang a duet with Bernard Wright (son of Roberta Flack), a billboard Top Ten Single in “Who Do You Love” which has been remade by Chaka Khan and has received substantial radio airplay.  She co-wrote the single “Hard to Love” released on Emergency Records. Marla appeared on the wedding special for “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee “ ABC TV. Her vast talents as a musician make her performances as a disc jockey spectacular.

DJ DOMINICK

Dominick grew up surrounded by the top international musicians. His musical skills are influenced by these amazing artists. From Miami, where he was a neighbor of Avicii, to NYC, he took his talents worldwide. He traveled from NYC to LA and then from London to Dubai. His energy and kindness exhudes by his bright smile. This in demand DJ always packs the dance floor and is loved by all. He knows all genres and eras of music and his mixing is totally inspired. He brings happiness and great beats to wherever he plays.

DJ DAN

Dan is an enormously gifted and experienced DJ with unparalleled knowledge of music of every genre and every country. All of our clients rave about Dan’s ability to pack the dance floor with just the perfect groove at the perfect moment. He is especially known for his eye for detail and guiding the party with a perfect flow.

He has played for many luminaries who ask for him specifically for each of their parties. Known for his calm and fun personality, he puts all brides and grooms at ease from well before and throughout the event to the last note. He is masterful at understanding the client’s vision of their perfect night and he really delivers!

DJ Michael

A career DJ Michael is one the very best.  He performed for the wedding of the legendary Frankie Valli whose career is portrayed on Broadway in the blockbuster show "Jersey Boys". He has performed numerous parties for Diana Ross at her home in Greenwich, CT. He has done many parties for New York newscaster, Arnold Diaz. He did the wedding of the son of former New Jersey Governor Burns.

A native of the New York area, Michael holds a BA from Arizona State University.
His love of music developed very early. Michael studied music and his segue into being a disc jockey was a natural one. Since becoming a full time disc jockey in the late '80s he has been successfully performing parties of all genres. Michael plays a rocking flawless party every time.

DJ Kissy

Kissy is a very talented disc jockey with an extensive knowledge of music. She has worked closely with Sony Music Group and RCA Records for many years. Her knowledge of music is unsurpassed. She studied acting at Herbert Berghoff Studio, and radio and TV broadcasting in New York. A trained dancer, she was in the Wade Robson Dance Project for MTV. She has appeared in television as a dancer in numerous music videos.
She also appeared in the Indie film: "The Orphan King" with Chris Evans and Bill Pullman.
She has brought to A Starry Night her great international soul and expertise in music.
